Magic of Magnesium: Unleash Your Natural Potential Today

A decline in energy is a common complaint among women entering or enjoying Midlife.

After all, they don’t call it the “fatigued 40s” for nothing.

fatigued 40's

The issue is so widespread that many women think feeling tired is a normal part of aging. Something inevitable.

But – our bodies are not suddenly incapable of pushing through. It’s the burden of life – coupled with the bonus everything Midlife brings- that weighs us down.

Tired is your new normal

Getting out of bed is a routine struggle – even if you’ve actually slept for more than 6 hours.

Yawning throughout the day is nothing unusual.

Everything feels impossible without a hit of caffeine, but even that only helps for a while – until it starts having a reverse effect…making you even more tired.

You don’t even remember what it’s like to feel energized.

low energy

Sound familiar?

80% of adults are Magnesium deficient

Even if you work hard to eat right and get enough exercise – chances are you still need to “supplement” your diet.

I’m sure you can ramble off 3-5 “vitamins” you think you should be taking to “supplement” your diet – but what about the essential Minerals your body needs to function?

Minerals play a key role in our mental and physical health but are sadly overlooked.

What’s worse is that YOU are most likely deficient in Magnesium – a VITAL mineral!

Have you ever discovered something and think – does everybody else already know about this?!  I like to think of myself as pretty-well-informed but sometimes I’m amazed at what I didn’t know I didn’t know.

Magnesium – The Secret Ingredient to a Healthy and Vibrant Life

calcium rich foodspotassium rich foods

Calcium and Potassium get a ton of attention. Yet people forget about the most abundant mineral in the human body~

…Magnesium

Many experts describe magnesium as the ultimate energy booster. Why?

Because magnesium is:

Effective – It plays an important role in well over 600 reactions in our bodies. Many of these reactions help convert food into energy which helps us live vibrant lives.

Inexpensive – Hitting your target intake of magnesium is surprisingly inexpensive. The bottle I bought was 100 capsules – 500 mg each -for $10!

Magnesium Can Breathe New Life into Your (Aging) Body

I bet Magnesium is not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of an energy booster (me either). Such a basic mineral yet it holds so much power for both our body and our mind.

So let’s talk about some tested ways Magnesium can help you live your life to the fullest:

1. Sleep like a Baby

While there are many reasons people struggle to fall asleep, malnutrition is more common than you might think.

More than 3 out of 4 adults don’t get enough Magnesium and this deficiency is commonly associated with trouble falling asleep.

Taking Magnesium at bedtime can help lower your heart rate & relax your muscles. It will also help you get a refreshing nights’ sleep.

Imagine waking up ready to go! No more feats of emotional strength just to get out of bed every morning.

2. Have More Energy Than a Preschooler

Let me preface this with a warning. You may not get the same results as the next person.

As a general rule, the more Magnesium-deficient your body is now, the better your results will be.  Here’s to making up for lost time & energy!

With that being said, you can still benefit from upping your intake even if your current magnesium levels are not that low.

3. Be Calm like a Monk

Wouldn’t it be great if you could be calm, focused and productive throughout the day?

Magnesium can help you do that by keeping your muscles relaxed, your hormones regulated, and your blood pressure low.  (this sentence deserves another read through)

This can help you fight off depression, a cranky mood, and even migraines!

eat for nourishment

You get to choose how to fuel your mind & body.

How does Magnesium boost energy?

So how does magnesium boost energy? To understand that, you need to know Adenosine triphosphate (ATP).

ATP is a complex organic chemical that provides energy for many processes in our body. It’s referred to as the currency of energy transfer

ATP needs Magnesium before it is usable. And since ATP is already there, you just need some Magnesium to kick its magic into action.

ATP combined with Magnesium turns into an organic battery for our bodies.

Is Magnesium the Happy Mineral?

I’m sure you’ve heard of serotonin?

Also known as the Happy Hormone, it promotes relaxation to keep the mind calm. Magnesium can trigger your body to produce more of this wonderful hormone!

Maybe we should start calling Magnesium the HAPPY MINERAL? Anyone??

Magnesium helps ease anxiety but is also being used as an alternative to treat depression – with ZERO side effects. It’s WAY cheaper than prescription drugs and your body naturally craves it so it’s much safer.

A Word On Keeping It Simple

You are not doomed to a life of lethargy – so stop settling for feeling less than incredible!

I discovered this vital Mineral because I refused to settle for being tired every afternoon and getting less-than-restful sleep.

Most people will read this post and call it a day. Some will research a bit on rich sources of magnesium and call it quits when an ad for a beautiful lighting fixture pops up (guilty).

Remember…..you are one $10 bottle away from a solution!

Magnesium over-the-counter

Who doesn’t want to have more energy, sleep like a baby, manage anxiety & depression? this link is the EXACT brand I purchased.

Order it online and have it shipped – DONE. I have no affiliation – just real-life experience and crazy results.

(tip: purchase a brand that is just Magnesium – not mixed with a bunch of other vitamins, Take it at night for maximum health, digestion & sleep benefits.

Magnesium through food

magnesium through food

Try to get the majority RDA of Magnesium through food.

Instead of trying to overhaul your entire diet, focus on changing one thing at a time. To keep it super simple, here’s my advice:

Eat one ounce of cashews, almonds, or any other nut once in the morning and once in the evening.  Check out my post on Brain food – it’s amazing how many foods are on BOTH lists!

Depending on the nut of your choice, this will add an additional 100–200 mg of magnesium to your diet. That’s roughly 25–50% of your daily recommended intake from a light snack alone.

diet-rich magnesium

Eat a diet with foods high in Magnesium

Other great sources of magnesium include avocado, beans, bananas, brussel sprouts and dark leafy greens.

Eating foods high in magnesium usually means those foods are also high in fiber! Which is a huge bonus~
